VIDEOVORA, esperimento collettivo di videoarte
con l’introduzione di un workshop di Gabriele Perretta e una selezione di video da Videofusion1.
esperimento aperto a tutti i videomakers e non… per realizzare un’opera collettiva sulla Factory-Idrovora.
“Da qui siamo pronti a chiederci se ciò che facciamo dal punto di vista compositivo è ancora frutto del lavoro di un autore, oppure è piuttosto il frutto di un’esperienza, di un laboratorio di nuovi disegnatori di cognizioni. Dal latino autore è auctorem, chi crea, chi fa crescere, derivato da augere (‘far crescere’). Ma chi è questo soggetto che, per generare una pittura, costruisce il bozzetto al computer, catturando immagini da contesti informativi e pubblicitari diversi, poi ridisegna sulla macchina, sfruttandone le proprietà, le sorti del collage elettronico ed infine estrae da quel monitoraggio un’iconografia definitiva?
Chi è quest’artista concettuale che usa tutti gli strumenti di compilazione dell’oggetto comunicativo, compiendo degli atti e avvalendosi della collaborazione della realtà quotidiana in tutte le sue sfaccettature? Chi è quest’artista che usa da una parte e assoggetta dall’altra una quantità enorme di possibilità semantiche disperse nello spazio della metropoli? E’ possibile dunque parlare di nuovi dispositivi di metamorfosi dell’autore? O più semplicemente è il caso di rivelare un dispositivo unico di creative commons”?

“Il richiamo è: siate felici siamo tutti autori”
Sulla traccia delle Officine senza nome, la serata sarà introdotta da un workshop di Gabriele Perretta con una selezione da Videofusion1 (Anonima di-chi-sì-lu-son, Future Planet, G.P. Mutoid, Cast). Modus operandi: durante la serata tutti i visitatori-partecipanti, muniti di macchine fotografiche, videocamere, pc portatili o anche solo di un’ idea, realizzeranno i frammenti video che saranno inseriti nell’opera collettiva.
Timing:
ore 18 -20 workshop
ore 20 -22 attivazione creazione collettiva
ore 22 -24 raccolta delle foto, dei materiali d’archiviodove compare l’idrovora e dei video digitali girati in situ.
ore 24 – 02 tre postazioni di montaggio collegate a videoproiettori riceveranno e diffonderanno i materiali nel montaggio.
ore 02:15 termine sessione, masterizzazione finale.
Il 1 luglio 2007 – ore 21 alla Galleria studio.ra,
in via Bartolomeo Platina, 1F – Roma

verrà esposto il risultato finale della serata VIDEOVORA. L’opera collettiva sarà inserita nel catalogo in rete della Galleria, proposta in un esemplare unico e messo all’asta. Il ricavato sarà devoluto per i lavori di ristrutturazione della Factory.

at the Factory – Rome (Riva Ostiense)
is to be held VIDEOVORA experiment open to all videomakers and no-videomakers… to realize a collective work on the Factory-Idrovora.
“From here we are ready to ask us if what we do from the compositive point of view is still the fruit of the labour of an author, or it is just the fruit of an experience, of a laboratory of new designers of knowledge. From Latin “author” is “auctorem”, who makes, who grows, “auctorem” derives from augere (‘to grow’).
But who is this subject who constructs the drawing on the computer, to generate a painting, catching images from different informative and advertising contexts, then he redraws on the machine, exploiting its properties, the lots of the electronic collage and finally he extracts from that monitoring a definitive iconography?
Who is this conceptual artist who uses all the means of compilation of the communicative object, carrying out the actions and making use of the cooperation of the daily reality in all its aspects? Who is this artist who on the one hand uses and on the other hand subdues an enormous amount of semantic possibilities scattered in the space of the metropolis. So, it is possible to talk about new dispositives of metamorphosis of the author? Or more simply it is the need to reveal an only dispositive of creative commons”?

“The appeal is: be happy we are all authors”.
On the outline of the Officine senza nome, the evening will begin with a workshop by Gabriele Perretta consisting of a selection from Videofusion1 (Anonima di-chi-sì-lu-son, Future Planet, G.P. Mutoid, Cast).
Modus operandi : during the evening all visitors-participants provided with their cameras, camcorders, notebooks or also only an idea will realize the fragments of video that will be included in the collective work.
Timing:
6 – 8 p.m. workshop
8 – 10 p.m. opening collective creation
10 – 12 p.m. collection of photos,
of old files where appears the idrovora and of digital videos shot in situ .
12 – 2 a.m. three positions of cutting connected to video projectors will receive and spread the materials inthe cutting.
02:15 term of the session, final CD writing.
On the 1 st of July 2007 – at 9 p.m. the final result of the evening VIDEOVORA will be exhibited in the studio.ra/1F media project Gallery in 1F, Bartolomeo Platina Street – Rome ( www.studiora.eu – Tel. 06-45495639) .
The collective work will be included in the catalogue on the Web of the Gallery, proposed as an unique exemplary and put up for auction. The proceeds will be donated to the Factory for the restoration works.
